Ok, over a year since I last blogged, still drawing and writing in fits and starts. I have to get busy on this stuff. I will try to post at least once a week.

Art

I have been working on art for a while now. Mostly cartooning type stuff. I am interested in the art of graphic novels, comics, and cartoons most of all. My thinking is that there are two sides of the art, the visual and the narrative. The writer and the illustrator, as it were. Both sides need to be developed.

The power of an examined life

I think the reason many do not ever succeed in life is the fact that they never examine their life in any way. They never stop to think about where they are headed, the consequences of the choices they make in life, the beliefs they hold, or anything about their life. I know this has been a pattern for me, at times. No more.

I will examine my life. I will weigh and consider my choices. I will study and understand my beliefs. I will live a conscious life from this point onward.

Working on an essay

About one of the underpinnings of liberty. It concerns the fact that man is a limited creature. Because man is limited, any and all attempts to arrive at "Utopia" will fail. Any political philosophy that relies on the "perfectability" of man will fail. Freedom allows for each one to chart his own course and make his own mistakes. The mistakes of an individual effect only a small segment of society. The mistakes of a flawed, limited human ruler in charge of a large segment of society bring down everyone.

Welcome to my blog!
